ADA Accessibility Statement

FranClause is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. Our goal is to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Accessibility Features & Protocols We Use

  • Semantic HTML with landmarks (<header>, <main>, <footer>) and meaningful headings.
  • Keyboard accessibility: logical tab order, visible focus states, and a “Skip to main content” link.
  • ARIA labels and roles where needed; decorative icons marked aria-hidden="true".
  • High contrast mode toggle and color contrast meeting WCAG guidelines where practical.
  • Reduced motion support honoring prefers-reduced-motion.
  • Alt text for informative images; purely decorative images are hidden from assistive tech.
  • Form accessibility: labels, error messaging, and polite live regions for validation.
  • Responsive design with adequate touch targets (≈44×44 px) for mobile users.

How We Test

  • Automated checks (e.g., Lighthouse/axe) during development passes.
  • Manual keyboard-only testing of all interactive components.
  • Screen reader spot-checks with NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS/iOS).

Known Limitations

While we strive for full compliance, some third-party embeds or legacy content may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We are actively working to improve these areas.
